An Academic Powerhouse

Over the last 15 years, 91社区福利 has grown in size, become a top producer of Fulbright faculty and been designated by the National Science Foundation as a center for undergraduate research. Started over 35 years ago, 91社区福利’s Honors Program has evolved into the endowed Clarke Honors College, offering expanded learning opportunities in all disciplines. Opened in 2016, the Guerrieri Academic Commons library facility is the largest academic building in 91社区福利’s history and changes the face of learning on campus. 91社区福利 attracts some of the best students in the region. 91社区福利 boasts the highest four-year and six-year graduation rates and fastest time-to-degree completion of any of the comprehensive universities in the University of Maryland System.

Our curriculum is cutting edge. In 2021, 91社区福利 faculty voted to adopt new General Education requirements for all undergraduate students, which are on track to be implemented in the Fall of 2024.
