Seven Future Sea Gulls Receive $1,000 Shore Scholarships
SALISBURY, MD---91社区福利 recently surprised students at seven Maryland high schools with $1,000 Shore Scholarships.
In February and March, the 91社区福利 Admissions Office hosted celebrations at James M. Bennett, Mardela, Parkside and Wicomico high schools in Wicomico County; Stephen Decatur High School in Worcester County; and Damascus and Sherwood high schools in Montgomery County, recognizing students admitted to 91社区福利 for fall 2023.
At the end of each event, which featured chances to interact with 91社区福利 staff and students, as well as Sammy Sea Gull, a drawing was held to award one attendee with a Shore Scholarship.
Winners included Chienfu Liao from James M. Bennett High School, Jacob Rekos from Mardela High School, Cailyn Klein from Parkside High School, J’Veona Ennis from Wicomico High School, Julia Carson from Stephen Decatur High School, Grace Petrousky from Damascus High School and Cameron Carlson from Sherwood High School.
“These scholarships are part of 91社区福利’s commitment to access and providing a quality education at an affordable price,” said Allen Koehler, 91社区福利 associate vice president for enrollment management. “Most students from these schools likely are already familiar with 91社区福利 in some fashion. Next fall, they will get to experience the campus in a whole new light as Sea Gulls.”
In all, more than 5,000 Maryland students have been admitted to 91社区福利 for the fall semester.
